A few days ago I tried my hands at shooting HDR (High Dynamic Range) for the first time. In essence what this means is that you try to compensate for the fact that with a camera you have to choose if you want detail in the shadows or in the highlights (such as clouds).

Yesterday I went back to the place I first tried film, and this time I brought the tripod. That made a huge difference! I still made one mistake though, I only brought my 18-55WR zoom (some light rain was happening and that lens is weatherproof), and I’m not happy about the optical quality of When I first started with photography there wasn’t anything called a green, or fully automatic mode, so I had to learn by making lots of mistakes, getting many photos out of focus (there wasn’t any autofocus either back then) or way too dark and way too light.
