Visit to Uppsala this weekend…

We made a quick visit to Uppsala this weekend, to let my parents have a look at where Bori lives and to visit her in her new “home” We all had a good time, and perfect weather both for driving and walking! We walked around town a bit, had some nice food (yummy indian food) and found some nice clothes for the girls. Bad thing; Brummi doesn’t relax when she’s away from home, so a bit of whining (through which I slept like a log without noticing a bit) which meant Judit didn’t get a proper nights sleep. As soon as we got home though Brummi seems back to normal…

On the road…

…or more correctly on the rail… Right now I’m sitting on the X2000 train from Gothenburg to Stockholm. It was really freezing in Uddevalla this morning, I was happy I had my gloves, hat and scarve…

When I arrive in Stockholm I will take Bori out to dinner. Hopefully they have a bunch of good restaurants to pick from in the area I’m staying…

A few busy weeks…

…ahead of me now. This week I’m off to Stockholm for some training in a new CMS-system. I haven’t been in Stockholm (properly) for quite some years, so I’m looking forward to that. Taking the train there and back, staying at a nice hotel, getting to learn new things, which I really like. I’m also going to take the opportunity to try to find a new jacket, since the one I have isn’t in one piece anymore, and there aren’t any local shops that I have stuff I like (or if I like it I can’t afford it).

I’m also working on the new website for the Swedish Tibetan Mastiff Club, of which I am now the webmaster. The current page is nice, and has been added to over a long period, and it has lots of good info, but it’s always nice to try to change things up, so I’ve built a new system, based on WordPress, which will allow a number of users to edit and update info, and let the club get into the social media-sphere a bit more…

And another dog show

It’s been a busy time these last few weeks Last weekend was the dog show in Värmland, and this weekend we were in Småland for the annual TM-meeting and unofficial exhibition.

We had a great time, the weather was super and the exhibition went well. Brummi was calm and relaxed, and showed how pretty she can be. She didn’t have any problems at all with him examining her, checking her teeth etc… Unfortunately the judge passed her up on any awards though, since he noticed that she has a limp on one of her back legs and therefore couldn’t be judged on her movement. This is something we’ve booked an appointment with the vet to have checked up, since it is probably related to a little accident she had this past winter when she slipped on a patch of ice. She didn’t make any noise or show any signs of pain, but she did limp a little bit after it, so if he can see it now when she trots then it’s best that we have it checked out.

The remarks from the judge were very good, essentially saying she’s a beautiful, well behaved dog with good proportions and in good shape.

The show was very well attended with nearly 20 TM’s in competition, which is more than I’ve ever seen before in one single place. We were also about 15 people who stayed for the party which followed. That too was a lot of fun, and Daniel and Maija were excellent hosts. Super-cozy place for a TM-meeting!
