I just did a fine-tuning of the AF metering for my lenses paired with the K-7. The 24mm F2.0 was practically spot on from the beginning (needed only -1 on a scale from -10 to +10), and the 18-55 WR was also quite good (+2), but surprisingly the 50mm F1.4 was way off, needed  April 10th, 2010 | Tags: adjustment, autofocus, calibration, k-7, pentax | Category: Photography | Leave a comment I was at the Photo fair in Gothenburg today. It was a very nice experience, lots of things to see, and more importantly try out. I was very interested with the photo studio setups shown, with everything from cheap 250 SEK reflectors to huge softboxes and digital backpieces costing more than an average …And I’m planning on going. I’ve decided I’m going to get a newer Pentax, since the one I have has 4 years of heavy use on it, and almost 20000 exposures. It probably will do another 5-10000 (let’s hope), but what I’m really missing is the possibility to use high iso’s. Today I rarely I finally made up my mind. Unless I happen to win Scott Bourne’s competitions (two wonderful Nikon and Canon cameras as the 1st prize, pretty please please!) I’m going to stick with Pentax. This past weekends photography excursion to WWF helped me make my mind up, and I realized that the lenses I I have a plan. My plan is to go through my old camera bags and find the flashes I have, but haven’t used for ages. Since I got my 50 mm lens many years ago I didn’t have to use the flash to get enough light, and I very much liked the natural light Weird week with several meetings cancelled due to colleagues and suppliers calling in sick. Well well, it’s the flu season I guess. I already had the “infamous” flu in the fall (and took the vaccine, just in case), so I’m hoping I won’t have any problems this spring, although it is supposedly not supposed I’ve entered a few competitions recently, hoping to have a chance at winning myself a new camera, since I’m in a situation now regarding my current camera where I’m a bit uncertain. I have a Pentax K10D which I won in a competition a few years ago, and with it I use my “old” |
