(…och vår längsta biltur hitintills) Varning; denna text kan vara tråkig om du inte känner oss och är nyfiken på vad vi gjort på semestern I måndags kväll kom vi hem från min och Judits semester. Eftersom jag hade en hel del semester sparat så bestämde jag mig för att ta 5 sammanhängande veckor, Has begun for real now. The weekend didn’t feel like vacation, since that happens every week, but today would normally have been a workday. Instead I have been dropping stuff off at the garbage-dump, visiting my sister and going to town with J for lunch at a diner. Feels good! A few more days, …is one of my favourite song (from the 80′s by the band Cock Robin), and it is also a very good description of how I’m feeling right now, since I’m working my last few hours, before it’s finally time for my vacation! I shifted my vacation a bit to the late-side this year, but I finally finished the greenhouse last week! Now it’s done to start putting things in there, so next spring we’ll have it full with lovely plants I hope We also had quite a bit of wind a few days ago, and everything is still in one piece after that, so that was also Is that I yesterday mixed and poured the concrete for the plinths of the greenhouse. It took 100 kg of dry concrete. Mixing concrete by hand is a b*tch. If I ever need to mix more than a bucket or two of concrete again I’ll definately rent a proper blender, instead of spending 20-25 The greenhouse still isn’t completed. I’ve finished the foundation too now, but the concreting of the foundation still isn’t done. Why? It needs a day without direct sun, or lots of rain, and those days haven’t been plentyful lately. It’s been either sun and 25C or rain and 17C… Plus, it needs a weekend, I got a bunch of really nasty mosquito-bites this past weekend, and I’m now sure I’m a bit hyper-sensitive to those suckers… I got about 15-20 bites on each foot (around the ankle), and both my ankles swelled up by 3-4 cm.
